Garden Fete

(July 12, 2008)
Our 21st annual fete raised in excess of £2600.

The sun shone and the 'visitors' arrived.

Following a 'dodgy' start to the day's proceedings, with rain showers and cool breezes,  true to form,  the sun came out to order.

It was interesting to note that the queue was smaller than usual, and after the initial rush of people, things went a bit quiet.  About 10 minutes later another  rush of punters arrived.  The reason???  It took at least 10 minutes to find a place to park!

We welcomed lots of new helpers this year.

There were vintage cars, vintage tractors, Local Police Panda car,  pony rides, skittles and a barbeque in the paddock.  Bouncy castle, Splat the Rat, Tombola, gdBay, Plants, Cakes, raffle, bric-a-brac, books, farmhouse teas, milking Daisy the Cow, Treasure Hunt, Toys, Balloon Race,  Wheel of Fortune, Ice Cream, Chapel Stall, and the Buzzer game all added to the fun.
The Church was open throughout the fete.

(There's a prize for naming the missing stall!)

********Special thanks to the Staff Tea Lady who travelled in from another County to spoil the stallholders!!!! *******************

Thank you to everyone who helped in any way.  Details later of the Helpers Get-together.
